Comparison of flexible and semi-flexible MOFs

The tables below describe the presence of flexible and semi-flexible modes in various metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Both experimentally-realized MOFs (EMOFs) and hypothetical MOFs based on nets from the Reticular Chemistry Structural Resource (RCSR) database (HMOFs) are analyzed. Each column reflects a distinct deformation of the MOF, and the cells are color-coded as follows:
Red indicates flexible
Yellow indicates semi-flexible
White indicates rigid
Video animations of various flexible and semi-flexible modes are provided by clicking on "Hide/show video"; please note that due to high symmetry in many structures, not all semi-flexible and flexible modes are animated. Finally, links to the RCSR database entry for the underlying topology or net of each structure are also available by clicking on the structure name.
